Pierson, like Brandywine. It is a yellow tomato and huge with a nice flavor and the acid is not so bad at all.

Hmm, does anyone have any ideas about how to support the 5 gallon buckets and keep them upright? I am at a loss for anything to do here. Ha ha, we still need support when on concrete patios. I mean I have concrete cinder blocks around mine but it won't really help much when they are extremely top heavy and the wind is knocking them over.

so you agree?... he should just be ultra cool and stand out there holding my prize container? lol
hold still while I cut and paste your verbiage...lol > tie twine in the middle of about a 2" sturdy little stick...pull string up threw hole in bottom of bucket..Not sure if thats any more understandable lol |

Ha Ha, not tuouching the hubby thing with a 10' pole but now I understand your string solution. Are we way off topic here? I don't want to upset the balance of TV with this thread. I think we are still on topic because we are talking about support in 5 gallon buckets but just want to be sure. Ivy, come to think of it, if you were to take cinder blocks stacked two high, around your buckets, they should stand just fine. I think I am getting more cinder blocks just for this purpose. I currently only have one layer around my buckets.

I never ever ever thought of this design, geez you would think since I tied the cinder blocks to my shade screen setup that I would have "thunk it" out to tie it off to the buckets, lol. Thanks for snapping me into reality here.
