Stew with meat and vegetables! Who would say no to that hearty food? I guess, Smokey is getting some of that stew too.

What do you do when you don't have noodles for your goulash?
Why you just make the darn things. Easy. Worth IMG_20150729_44849.jpg |

Ella you cant imagine how much paprika I used in this stuff.
Unlike most Americans I use it for its real intent, and that is not to put on deviled eggs once a year. I may go through a pound a year. Smokey wont eat anything but dry cat food lizards rats and mice. Worth |

My dog likes food that we eat. She even eats Borscht. My MIL had dachshund that was not given dog food and she leaved 16 years.
We tried to feed our dog dog-food. She refused it.

That looks delicious, Worth. The only goulash I've ever had is what my paternal grandmother calls goulash but it looked nothing like yours. I think it was just a mix of meat and veggies she had on hand. She's no cook, but she can bake the best dang spread of Christmas cookies you've ever laid eyes on.
Most of my paprika gets used in curry. I buy bags of it at the Indian grocery.

That is what my mother made. There are many types of goulash it just loosely means shepherd or herders stew. Some soupy some thick some with just meat and wine and so on. There is no REAL recipe. Mine has a very little hot paprika, lots of sweet paprika (Paprika is just a word for pepper more or less). Toasted garlic onion rib meat carrot potato onion powder black pepper salt celery salt red peppers a small amount of roux and at the very last more paprika and a small shot of sweet Marsala. It takes hours to make. Worth |

My favorite things she would make me were PB&J sandwiches with butter in the peanut butter (don't knock it till you try it) and if I spent the night she'd wake me up with French toast with powdered sugar.
