What great plants you have had for your maiden year! With roots like that, your plants could not have grown wrong. I bet that many here will be taking note of your microfiber wicks. I know that I am.

I am already looking forward to next year......going to tweak the FloraNova Gro and Bloom nutrients and produce some giants on a single stem....nice.....cheers....

Righand,
I wanted you to know that I gave you design a try. I gathered all my buckets and some tubing and microfiber towels. After an hour of looking for my Unibit, I was ready. Well , it only took less than 30 minutes and it was time to add water. I put about 4" of my Hydroton mix (media) in the bottom of the bucket and within an hour it was moist to the touch. So it was on to the transplant. I gave the 2 plants a splash , just for security and viola done. The huge part for me was that I didn't need to use that extra media to get to my water solution. Again BRILLIANT... Thanks again for sharing.

That's a really big bucket for a basil, I would've put in some dwarf tomatoes. I use my Aerogarden for basil and pack them pretty close.

Aloha,
I hope you are well. I did try the micro-towels another go. This time I tried it with cucumbers. Oh yes, it did work well. My 3 seeds grew to more than 18ft . More the 18 cucumbers so far. Not bad, considering. Thanks again.

So, it's going again for me . I have loaded up on peppers , tomatoes and well some squash and one heck of a kaboucha pumpkin. Cheers and hope all is well.

How do you take a "sucker" off an existing plant to make more plants?

Cut it cleanly and put in clean water with a ph around 5.8-6ph
Don't forget it needs food. That can come later. Just give it some attention.
