Snow is so pretty in pictures - it's just the real thing that is tiresome.
Your pictures are lovely.

Whenever you visit my grave,

say to yourselves with regret

but also with happiness in your hearts

at the remembrance of my long happy life with you:

No matter how deep my sleep I shall hear you,

and not all the power of death

can keep my spirit

from wagging a grateful tail.

Gorgeous! A lot of people don't like wind turbines but I think here is something about them that makes them beautiful and almost hypnotic.

Heather, they be popping up all over Germany. I've got 5 of them within 500 yards of my house. Here's one of them. Ami

I like the snowy pic Ami. I think the next snowy day we have I might take my camera and go out and do some shooting.

What a beautiful view you have.

There are only a few turbines where I live. . . I imagine I'd find them less likable if there were tons popping up everywhere.

Medbury G. No they are very quiet. When I went up to the north sea coast there were windmills everywhere. The bungalow we stayed at had a large windmill about 100 meters from us and it was noisy. Seems the newer mills are quieter. Ami

You are right the modern turbines are a lot quieter, the noise problems used to be in the gearing.
We have two wind farms been build about 20 kms from here with something like 300 turbines, there's been lots of opposition from the "put them by someone else" camp, but i`m all for them.

it's embarrassing over here how much people are against the windmills. they call them 'visual pollution' and would prefer the black clouds over the coal fired energy plant instead of the windmills.

i noticed that the mills in germany were extremely quiet compared to what we have here.
