Waiting for warm weather
This is my second year with a greenhouse and growing heirloom/OP.
While I wait for a decent stretch of warm weather my plants are coasting along. I'm more than pleased with them in the greenhouse. I would normally be just getting them in the ground now. Hill60 |

great plants, will you leave the toms in the pots when you put them outside or will you be able to plant in the soil?

I know what you mean about waiting for decent weather.
Our weather has been all over the place this year. Usually I will try to get a small area with some tomato plant in around the beginning to middle of May and cover them. But we've been too busy and the weather has been way too variable. We've actually had SOME high 80s twice so far this spring. But just a few days and then we go back to 50s-60s. Hard to figure out what to do with spreads like that. Meanwhile we do have some plants in pots and hanging baskets that are doing well too, like yours. We too are just waiting now til we have the time and weather to get to planting. Carol |

We had a cool season last year and it showed with the in ground plants. The plants were healthy with lot of tomatoes but few ripened. Container plants on the other hand had a good crop of ripe tomatoes. Hill60 |
