Default First two and garden Update

My internet has been flaky since Friday so hopefully I can upload the pics. First 2 Pics are my first two to ripen, Spudatula and Guernsey Pink Blush #3 (Red). The rest are shots of the plants in my yard and the last one is a Pruple Haze I'm growing upstairs in a 1 gal Smart Pot. That's it for tonight as my DSL is running like a 56k on a bad night. I'll upload more when I get my DSL fixed. Ami

Looking good, even in that "jungle" under the roof. LOL!

Well, Ami, it's good to know that landslide in Germany wasn't your place. How close to you was it??

Hello Ami,

That's a great macro photo of the Black from Tula PL. Our camera doesn't work that close up.

That sliced Black From Tula has one wicked smile, does that mean it tasted good?

Ami,
You have ripe tomatoes too! I'm so jealous.

The BFT PL and GPB were both excellent. Remy, the summers seem to get worse and worse weather wise. Last year the rain started mid July. This year it started the 4th of july weekend and we have wet stuff forecasted through the end of the week. If your looking for sun on your summer vacation don't come to Germany! Ami

Sorry for your bad weather, Ami! We have had storms, dark clouds, thunder, but nearly no rain. Astonishing that you have already bigger ripe varieties- here only some cherries can be picked and the other varieties have started to show some color. All are doing fine - no disease till now - I should knock on wood!

It is the same here! Well maybe not as much rain, but it is the coldest July on record so you don't want to come here either.

clara, it's a strange weather pattern. The rain comes up through France, skirts Luxembourg and comes up through Saarbrucken on to Kaiserslutern and through Frankfurt. So the storm systems have been skirting you.
I've dodged the bullet on disease as well but have been periodically spraying my plants with Actinovate, Agri-Fos and Neudorff Pilzfrei. Ami

Weather seams to be horrible in
my Area aswell. Tomorrow I'll see what the weather did to my outdoors, but currently I'm in Spain. Hope that blight didn't catch up.
In hope for a good crop.
Cheers

amy...what was your source on the geurnsey pink blush? your's looks like a cross. some of mine were also crosses...but i think i've managed to weed out the crosses and collect seed only from the true pinks. happy to send you some. GPB are my favourite cherries.

how's the weather in berlin?
i'm going to be in frankfurt for two days as of august 13 and then berlin for the next week. going to be doing a few bike tours...so i'm hoping for some dry, warm weather. and why not? i went to berlin in february hoping for snow...and got 6 inches of it!

tessa, hope the weather cooperates during your visit. Normally the weather in August is sunny and dry but no telling the way it has been going the past few years. I hope you bring some of the down under weather with you.
I received the GPB from Grunt and Grungy. If you have the pink please do send some. Let me know how you want to work it. Ami

Thank you for the link, Ami! I shall buy Neudorff Pilzfrei - in case something bad happens... I have 5 or 6 fruits with BER (the first fruits), but fortunately that's all for the moment.
