Default Today's pick

The tomatoes are finally coming in for me. It was a late start on the year. The 3 big ones are an unknown variety and range from 5 5/8oz to 9 3/4oz. The one by itself is the one and only tomato off of a bush goliath.

I'm hoping that by next year I'll have figured out how to grow tomatoes and will produce better and more tomatoes.

Very nice. And a nice picture too! How did you end up with the unknown variety? All 3 fruits from the same plant?

They are not from the same plant. Back in the spring I bought some tomatoes from a roadside stand to make salsa with. I didn't make the salsa, forgot about the tomatoes and before long they were in the compost pile. Shortly after that, they sprouted so I planted about 2 dozen of them.

Lovely!

I enjoy all the artistic photos everyone takes of the veggies.

I would love some fresh fried okra. . . yum.
