Default Please help - what is this?

Hello, I'm totally new to this and have some interesting "things" on some of my tomatoes. As far as I can work out so far, one of them might be "ghost spots", but does this mean I can't use the fruit?

Ghost Spots is the exact word that tomato pathology books use to describe those white circles on the left pictured fruit, so perhaps you have been doing some searching.

If so, you know that those Ghost Spots are associated with the disease Gray Mold, but there should be other symptoms as well, with leaves and petioles and also fruits.

Do you see any other symptoms?

The magonification of the fruit in the right hand picture is so large that I can't rellay suggest what it might be

In the one on the right, it kinda looks like it might be debris. Take an old toothbrush and some water and see if it will simply wash off with a little help from the brush. I have been harvesting a lot of toms with fragments of old browned-out leaves stuck on to the skins by recent rains or other moisture.

Another possibility is some critter (bug) damage.

Thanks for the help.

Based on your responses is it still safe to eat these? From what I've read ghost spots mean the fungus has been killed by the sun. Is this correct?
