Late Blight-It's our fault ???
Ran across this youtube video this morning, though some of you might be interested. Evidently according to some media reports the spread of Late Blight is from organic and home gardners (yeah right ).
oops, almost forgot the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrhssSsPrdM&NR=1

Do you have any actual cites for that? I didn't find the video particularly credible, and the only things I have been able to google up are about the Bonnie Bell plants being the source.
There is a human tendency to try and find a single source in the aftermath of a disaster to blame. I'm wondering if the venting of a few farmers who's crops were devastated is being snatched up by the prolific internet rumor mill, ground up and spat back out as a full fledged Finger of Blame pointed at all organic producers and gardeners. By Monday it could have evolved into a conspiracy by Monsanto to ban organic gardening and seed saving! |

Sorry, no idea what area they were talking about. I was actually looking at a video from Michigan State Univ. (big agricultural school) that they had put together showing the devastation of Late Blight in a particule area. The video I linked to was just one of those that pops up on the right side of the screen that is similar to what you are currently viewing.
