Since I'm gardening from a balcony, can't catch rain water

I live in an apartment and am container gardening for the first time. Is my plain tap water going to hurt my vegetables? I am using a Micro Nutrient spray once a week but for regular watering, will I be ok? I am not doing the SWC.

Rain water is always great, but storage can be a pain in the butt. And most people run out of it before long. I'm sure your tap water will be fine, thats what I use and never had any problems. Good luck!

I read some where on here that if I boiled the water it would remove the chlorine, or I could just sit it out in the sun for an hour.

If you want to through the trouble, I guess boiling it would help or setting it out for a while. I would make sure the water has cooled off with either method.

If other people just use tap and its ok, then I won't go through the trouble.

I use tap water and have not had issues I do try and use the water that goes to the outside of the house as I have a water softener but you should not have that problem with water in the apartment.

Just a side note the recomended use for aquiriums is to either us a tap water conditioner when filling or changing water or let the water sit out for 24 hours to remove the chlorine.

I could easily just let the water set on the balcony from day to day. That solves my problem, or at least that one, lol.
