Default Best Tomato Garden in Years

I guess the cooler temps in Florida are paying off for me this year. I got a little later start than usual but I have more tomatoes on my plants than I have had in years by the end of April. And a bonus seems to be that the cooler temps have cut down on the number of whiteflies this season, so far. I don't have any signs of Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl virus yet. I usually start seeing signs of it by mid-April. Here are a few pictures I took today. They are Green Grape, Black from Tula, Neves Azorean Red, Sophie's Choice and Momotaro.

Congrats Marjorie, its nice when mother nature gives us a break now and then. We have had cooler than normal temps here in South Texas as well, but the hot temps are on their way. I started 2 weeks plus later than normal and dont quite have the plus in fruit that you do, but I cant really complain overall.
Your plants look great

It is good when nature cooperates. Weather report says we will hit 90 next weekend, though. Looks like we are mostly going to bypass the 80s this year.

I have a cherry plant that is already taking over. It is well over 7 ft. It came from a cherry mix seed packet so I don't have a clue what it its until I get ripe tomatoes. My Black Cherry is also getting up there. I ended up with more cherry plants than I intended. Wish now that I had planted more Beefsteaks.

Thanks, Remy and Ginny. I am loving my garden right now.

Picked the first ripe Sweet Baby Girl cherries today. Ate them in the garden. First larger tomato - Bloody Butcher - is starting to blush. Another couple of weeks and I will be begging people to take tomatoes off my hands.

I am just north of you in Pinellas county. Things are going well here too. No insects to speak of and not too much foliage disease. I have no ripe ones yet but lots of babies.
