Default Micro Tom

I'm sure this will be totally worthless as far as getting edible tomatoes, but it sure is a cute little fella.

Not a "great" tasting tomato..but edible for sure. A small tart cherry.

I grew about 2 dozen of them this spring...was going to keep some for myself, but my customers snapped them up fast! I had some buy Aussie and Micro Tom...2 lb tomatoes next to 2 gram tomatoes...should be fun. Let us know how the fruit tastes.

Earl -- Yours sure is loaded with fruit (well, as "loaded" as such a little guy could be!). I hope those aren't recent pictures with all the snow.

They really are cute little guys. I don't have any this year, but I like to grow them as ornamentals - like three or four in a long window box type of tray, surrounded by blue and white trailing lobelia. When the tomatoes are red, it looks so pretty.

Dee -- Thanks for that good idea. I think I have some lobelia left over from my hanging baskets.

Sherry, Red Robin is a great dwarf that DOES have good flavor. One thought is that you can grow them for winering over, then decorate them like little Christmas trees! : )

Love the idea of decorating them for Christmas trees! I've grown Red Robin before, actually several times before. I just thought I'd try something different this year. I do like Red Robin though.
