It really looks like the lower leaf stems. Most tomato plants will yellow out the lower leaf stems that are not getting much direct sunlight. I grew Roma in 2008 and it did the same thing yours is showing. I trimmed off the ones that went totally yellow and kept adding support for the many branches the plant threw out. Got a bunch of fruit off of it.

Default my Viva Italia did this

My Viva Italia did this when first planted. I used coffee grounds in the planting mix (they were both large-potted) so I knew it wasn't nitrogen deficiency. After some searching around I decided to try some Ironite and then a foliar-feed of Hasta-Gro.

good luck!

Soil in that picture looks kinda wet; might be a contributing factor? What's the drainage like for that spot?

I'm not sure on the drainage timmah...the place where this plant is planted is just a brick enclosure with dirt thrown in it from when they put stepping stones down in the back yard... guess they figured they could use the dirt instead of hauling it out of the yard. the plant still has not gotten better.. I will get a picture of it later.. thanks
