Anyone grown Minnesota Midget Melons?

I ordered a few Minnesota Midget melon seed to try for the
First time next year.
Has anyone grown this variety and if so how did it do for
You. I was looking for a compact plant with a not so long
Growing season and this one seemed to fit the bill.
Any word on this one will be appreciated.

I like to grow it for an ealry melon. It puts out a lot of flowers quickly, which brings in bees for later blooming varieties. I grew 5-6 plants inside/up a 5 ft tomato cage last year and it worked pretty well to save space. I just had to make sure the mulch was thick underneath because the ripe melons drop off the vine. The color changes to tan, indicating when you should pick.

Flavor is pretty good most of the time, with the occasional bland fruit.

Sounds like I picked a good one to grow since my space is limited.
The idea of growing them on a tomato cage is a good one and I plan to try it.
There may be other varieties out there that are suited to growing in small spaces but this one jumped out at me. Thanks for the insight on Minnesota Midget.

I tried them. Can't recommend them. Will never grow them again. Could not sell them (was afraid of destroying the brand name...)

I tried 2 years and didn't have any luck with them at all. Split and tasted blah, vine was lost fairly early to disease.

I grew them last year. First melon to set/ripen fruit. Early ones were tasty. Second crop, not as good. Grew them side-by-side with Petit Gris de Rennes - the melons were "midget" but, for me, the vines weren't all that compact.
