Lighting system purchase?
Hi all:
I am looking to but a decent light to raise my seedlings. I was considering two 2 ft Jump Start systems since I have an old fish tank stand that would work well for them. However, after looking at Gardeners Supply's website, I realized that the lights I was considering have only one T5 bulb each. The Gardeners Supply lights have two T5 bulbs in the strip. In the past when I started seeds, I used shop lights that I mounted on a home-built wood stand with a couple of levels. I don't think I have the space to do something similar- I need to use something more compact. Is one T5 bulb sufficient? Are two necessary, or are they overkill? Thanks! |

Not sure that would be enough light from one bulb. you can search for linkable florescent lights they have them in all different shorter sizes from 24in to 8in they are very compact as they are designed to be used under cabinets. They come with a linking cord that allows you to plug them into each other. I have seen them at Wal-Mart as well in an 18 inch size I believe.
