How many plants to earthtainer
Hey all, newbie here from SE. florida. Using smartpots w/ great success, however always looking to trying new things and thus the earthtainer for my summer varities.
From the PDF it appears that the earthtainer is designed for 2 tomato plants. Can anyone confirm this. Also, from the past I have had issues w/2 plants in 1 pot. Is it better for 1 plant per tainer. Thanks. |

It is designed for two tomato plants. From my one year of experience, there was plenty of room for the two of them, even when they were extending well beyond the top of the double high cage in the ET2.

What Dewayne says!
Also, for Peppers, 4 is the maximum number I will now plant. This past Season I put in 6 per 'Tainer and it was too crowded. The Peppers on 4 plants will surely be larger than the ones from 6 plants jammed into a 'Tainer. Raybo |

Wow, thanks for the quick and great responses guys.
The peppers look great Ray. BTW, what do you use for supplemental feeding for your vegetables and approximate schedule. |

jpop,
I only use the fertilizer at the initial planting, with the single strip running down the middle of the container (2 Cups). Similar to what is recommended for the EarthBox. This is a bit different than with the two tomato plants, where I use dual outside strips of 1 Cup in each. Raybo |
