Starting Goliath tomato seed
I'm starting Goliath tomato seeds this year....Just curious what others think of the flavor of Goliath? So far the germination was 10 of 11, which is good for me.
The main stem seems a little spindly compared to my other seedlings, but maybe it will beef up a little with time. Since they will not be set out until may 10 to 15 depending on the weather, the stem should thicken up ok by then. Also started Amish paste, Roma, beefsteak, and mortgage lifter. |

Flavor was not bad, but not spectacular for me (grown in
a warm summer, so weather was not an issue). Not a spitter.

Like Dice said, nothing to write home about in the flavor department, but a heck of a lot better than some I've grown. Mine were fairly large, juicey, and blemish free. Grew them in summer here in South Louisiana.
