The Shisito my wife grilled then put sesame oil and sea salt on them. They were great. The green chile she grilled. Excellent taste and spicy.

The Cascados look good too. I've never heard of them before, but any spicy pepper is a treat.
I usually plant jalapenos. Every year I always say I am going to try some different varieties of hot peppers, but I always stick with the jalapenos. |

Cascados seed is from Native Seeds Search in Tucson, AZ. Here is their description:
"This Spanish heirloom from El Guique, NM (5,500') matured earlier than most at the CF. When green, slightly sweet and fleshier than other NM native chiles. Also has a good flavor when red. Mild. 4"" It was medium in heat.

I've never successfully grown chiles from seed, but I think I'll give it a try next year. |

Is Cascados similar to a Jalapeno in taste? It looks like the scoville heat units are about the same for both peppers.

Shisitio is an early variety, you should do fine this summer.
