Default Colored fungus on tomatoes?

Hi all,

Has anyone here ever experienced a type of pale colored (almost pink?) fungus on their tomato plants? I would have posted some photos but I was so bewildered I chopped off what I could and have already thrown them out.

I first noticed it because it had attacked the stem connecting to the tomato - it was so fungus-y it was beginning to rot the top of the tomato. I've noticed it now on more tomato stems connecting to tomatoes, and the main stems too.

I've only seen gray mold and white powdery stuff. Never a pale pinkish mold like this.

Do you think I can spray with a diluted bleach solution?

Thanks in advance for the help Tomatovillians!
