Aphid,
It seems the presenter is excited about willing to share info, (probably from) a college class. Also seems to be confused about organic growing methods. Does not differentiate between open pollinated and 'heirloom', which is a common misjudgment. Clarifications will probably come out in the next chapter or glossary. Thanks to DiggingDogFarm for presenting some more worthwhile information on pepper plant growing, etc.
