Default Dreaded TSWV...

This morning pulled 2 plants (Sungold and Italian Plum) because many leaves were showing TSWV. Now this afternoon 3 more plants are 20-30% covered with foliar damage. Such a downer and, wow, did that move fast! I can only imagine fire moving faster. RIP my very first Sungolds, Cherokee Chocolate, and Italian Plums.

I hope some of my plants survive. I did see something (fingers crossed its not TSWV) about the leaves of my Brandywine Sudduth that is dripping with green fruit. Oh well, 1st timer so I have many seasons in front of me.

Edited for spelling.

If your Brandywine Sudduth has TSWV and the plant is large and healthy enough you still might get some good production out of it before it succumbs to the disease. I have had plants last almost 2 full months after getting TSWV while others die rather quickly. I no longer pull good sized plants that have TSWV if they are far enough along for some of the fruit to make it to a good size and ripen and have found no difference in the spread of the disease. If on the other hand the plant rapidly deteriorates then you really don't have much choice about pulling it.

Good to hear! My mom prevented me from pulling the plants that are not completely engulfed. She said to wait and see. So your advice along with hers makes me feel better.
