7-31-11 Today's Harvest

Hopefully I’ll have some in the next few weeks also. We have had a heat wave here in Cincinnati so I’m not getting much fruit set. There are some green fruit but not as many as there should be.

I’ll enjoy these while I can.

Jerry,

What are the ones directly under the bowl. I got a plant from my neighbor that was labeled black cherry and the tomato looks like yours. Small, egg shaped and very good flavor.

I'm not sure which tomato you are referring to. I’ve labeled the ones in the bowl. If you are referring to the heart shaped variety below the bowl that is an unknown to me. But it isn't small. Maybe 5-6 ozs and an inch and a half across. It was supposed to be a San Marzano but I must have gotten it mixed up somewhere along the line.
