Mennonite varieties in Mexico
My brother in law does has some contact with a Mennonite community in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. I asked him to see if there are any heirlooms that they grow. I told him to ask them if there are any varieties that they have handed down from generation to generation, and that they save seed from and plant the next year.
He left these for me today, I have not had a chance to talk with him yet about them. They speak German as their first language, and a type of Spanish as their second. The first one is a bell pepper variety. Chile Morron is bell pepper. The second is a type of jalapeno that is yellow.
