Default honedew on trellis

I'm growing some "morning ice" Honeydew and had to trellis it since it's growing vines 10-15"+ with lots of fruit now. Do I need to add extra support to the fruit from the trellis or are the vines strong enough to hold them? The label says 6-8 pounds. I never grew a melon before.

Thanks for any replies.

I make hammocks for my trellis grown melons and squash...a variety of things around the house work well...old nylon pantyhose or stockings, just cut them as needed or other material.
Here's a pix, sorry I forgot to rotate it!

Is it necessary though? How much weight can the vines hold before it falls off? I've had some big cukes left on the vine that never fell off.

Thanks for the pic. I have some onion bags around. Will ask the ladies for some materials!
