For me, when people describe a tomato as tasting tomatoey...that's the flavor of Polish.

mmm
Superb. A troika of Polish. I can only imagine the heady smell and snappy taste.
I grew two Polish last year, seeds from Earl, and they looked just like that. Huge plants loaded with big fruits with a great taste. It has earned a permanent spot in my patch. Bully's spot on as usual. A real tomato. |

Yes, a great tomato...a wonderful addition to a big, greasy hamburger. Had one the other night...a slice of Polish below and on top of the patty...a Polish over/under if you will .

Beauties!
Mine should be ripe with the next full moon in a couple weeks. Can't wait. And it is a HUGE plant. Only Yellow Brandywine is taller. |

I've been growing HS's 'postage stamp' Polish for several years now. It's great.

Polish, courtesy of Earl, was my greatest sucess last year
(my first year starting from seed and growing Heirlooms). It got me hooked on growing Heirloom tomatoes. Sadly my Polish plant didn't make it this year, so I learned my lesson and will make sure to plant out two or more every year! Mine looked just like yours. It must be a consistant performer as it seems to do well all over. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...i/IMAG0051.jpg |

Hope to post pics of Polish C later. Grew the above looking one from TGS and got a few fruit that were very tasty. But my Polish C from the neighbours seeds produced lots of wonderful round pink splitting fruit. It just got a prime spot in the greenhouse where Zogola failed. Tuff luv.

I love "tomatoey" tomatoes and I have Polish on my tentative list for next year. This post bumps it up to the top of that list.
Will TGS Polish be the same? CECIL

Cecil:
I think it will be the same...or darn close. If I remember correctly, descriptions at both sites are pretty close. I don't think you can go wrong with this variety. Good luck. |
