Interesting photos. What are the purplish red flowers in photo 59? They look like an odd colored chive, but I can't tell.

Those look to be Gomprena.

Doug9345, those annual flowers are Globe Amaranth (or Gomphrena Globosa) as Darren Abbey noted.

Those were one of the flowers I didn't grow from seed. I found the plants on a trip to Maryland, when I stopped at a Nursery there and noticed them, and I just had to get them, as you don't see that type of flowering plant up here in NJ at the nurseries for whatever reason. They were I thought, an unusual yet striking flowering plant and they didn't need much watering. I would definitely get them again if I could find them.
