Crocus

The first crocuses are blooming. These flowers are always a delight, since they are true harbingers of Spring, being the first sign of growth in my zone 5. Rabbits love the vegetation, and they will eat all to ground level. |

Did you know that people have used Colchicine a derivative of the autumn crocus to change the the chromosomes/DNA of other plants.
It is highly poisonous and dangerous to do this unless you know what you are doing. So I have been told. Worth |
