Default picking mulberries

One of the community gardens has a mulberry tree with the long, thin fruit (probably Pakistan Mulberry). Much of it is high up on the tree, but it's so prolific even at eye level that it's not worth a lot of effort to get all the fruit. But today I came up with at an easy way to get at some of the formerly unreachable fruit.

I happened to have a "reacher" in my vehicle, and it worked wonderfully as a berry picker. I was able to stand on a ladder, reach up 2-3 ft. with the reacher, and gently, with finesse, pluck one fruit at a time (without squashing it).

(And I got this particular reacher at the local Daiso store for $1.50!)
