First Iraq pepper!
Last year ScotinAtlanta was kind enough to send me some pepper seeds from his visit to Iraq. I successfully got two growing, one in a container and one in the ground. This is the very first pepper to start (container plant) and is probably my largest Capsicum flower in the garden so far.
Looks like it's going to be a big pepper!

This is a copy (of a copy) of the orig seed packet. By the flower and fruit shape, an annuum for sure. The fruit resembles New Mexico/Anaheim, but, according to Scott, should have some heat.
More pics in the morning.

Yes, it has some heat, but not a superhot. Hot enough to eat in small bites with other food.

Well, not the best shots and a few days late. I broke the screen on my camera so it was a bit difficult to get the pictures.
The plant is still only about 15" tall but pretty stocky. In the group photo the Iraq pepper is the left and front-most of the caged plants.

If this pepper is a good one, I propose we call it the Tigris for circulation in the US. It has no specific name in Iraq.
