Default Finally almost have a ripe one

It has blossem end rot though, just a lil.Out of all matoes,I only have 2 with light end rot.Rest is fine. The last pic are my largest,9"(left) & 10"(right) diameter.I'm growing delicious.First time growing tomatoes.I hope the others get as large as the biggest ones I got before they ripen. Can blossem end rot prevent a tomato from growing larger & make it ripen quicker? Its fairly small compared to most of the others that are still very green.

I'm glad that your long wait is almost over and that you'll be able to enjoy most of this very first one. I'm not sure about the answer to your question but it seems to me as that often when there is a problem with a fruit, it tends to go into ripening mode a little earlier than usual. Nine and ten inches?! Those are some huge tomatoes! Hope they ripen up well for you- please post pics when they do.

BER- not sure about it preventing size increase, but it will definitely cause them to ripen faster.
Most folks tend to yank fruit with BER, but if they are already ripening and the spot isn't to bad- see how they taste.

Picked 4 today. The green one is off a branch that snapped during a storm lastnight. The other pics is the biggest one of all the tomates I have growing.I might get a larger one before growing season is over. But this will probably be the biggest one I get,10.5".I don't have a scale to weigh it.Happy I got at least one decent sized tomato on my first time growing

The first few are the hardest to wait for. These look very nice, perfect shape and i bet they'll taste super good too.
