Nice design all around the garden. Very comfy, almost zen-like.

Very nice! You definitely have a "green" thumb. Are you growing the West Indian pumpkin this year?

Very nicely landscaped! Time to tear out some grass to make room for more tomatoes and beans

Thanks, I'm trying to get it greener everyday.... No I'm not growing the West Indian pumpkin this year...wa waa. But I am growing 2 other types of winter squash, some Nutterbutter Winter Squash (type of Butternut) from seed I saved from last year, and Guatemalan Blue Banana Squash. Both plants are doing well, my butternut is already flowering while the Guatemalan Blue Banana Squash is growing quite big, looks like the plant will grow as big as the West Indian Pumpkin Squash plant did at the rate it's spreading now. I'll probably grow the West Indian Pumpkin Squash again next year though. As it produced some really big squash for me here in NJ (great for soups/stews/diced up with beans). And maybe just grow it next to the wildflower garden area I have now where there is space for it, that West Indian Pumpkin squash rocked the surrounding lawn/grass of my raised garden bed that year. ~Alfredo |
