Default Purple Serrano chili pepper

My Purple Serrano chili pepper plants are ... purplish! Everything on this plant develops a purple hue, including the cotyledons. If it weren't for the leaf shape, I'd think it was a purple eggplant.

I think it was my black pearl peppers that I grew two years ago were that way. It was easy to figure out which ones they were. I have three Maui Purple peppers that almost solid purple.

Oh! I'm glad you are growing those. I'd like to compare harvests to see if we are growing the same pepper under change of name.

If you saw the package they came out of you'd be surprised that any grew. I'll take some pictures and post them. It's funny I can see some of your pictures, but not most. A few days ago I was seeing them all. It's not my browser as I was using Mozilla on Vista and now I'm on a Chrome book.

Can your rule out bandwidth; e.g., search for tomato plants on Google Images with no problems?

I'm using Chrome with Windows 7 to post and view, not a problem.

Here in California, my experience is that many people are pro Chrome and anti Microsoft. This discussion has reminded me that other parts of the U.S. are not that way, and advertising my products on both Chrome and IE search engines is a good investment.

It's frustrating because I see no indication that there is even a picture there. I just tried it on Mozilla, Chrome and IE9 on windows Vista and earlier I was reading this thread on a chrome book that was at a different location with a faster internet connection all with the same result.

The software on TomatoVille.com detects what hardware and software you are using, and then according to choices in settings made (or ignored) by the site administrator(s) decides what to show you.

Your pictures also don't show up in Chromium or Firefox on my notebook running Ubuntu.
Some folks picture attachments show up fine and some don't on other threads.

Check this setting:
In "My Profile", one of the items listed under "Your Control Panel" is "Edit Options". Scroll down to "Thread Display Options" and check that "Show Images" is enabled. Then at the bottom of the page click on "Save Changes".

If that doesn't help, the next thing is to determine what version of Java you are running. Also, are you running a 3rd party ad-blocking software?
