Today Only 20% Off Burpee Gift Cards
I've been waiting for a good sale on Burpee pea fences to use as Earthbox cages. And waiting, and waiting...
Today I got an email saying that gift cards, which come in denominations of $25, $50, or $100 are 20% off for today only. I was thinking about getting one or two, then applying them to the purchase of pea fences. Any thoughts? |

JMHO but the pea fence at Burpee and the pea fence at Gurney's seem to be the same. I would wait for the Gurney sale when they have buy $25 get $25 free . . . same for $50 or $100. So basically you could get $200 worth of pea fence from Gurneys for $100. Might be worth checking into? I R Cheap.

I heard that the ones from Burpee are a little taller, which is appealing where cherry tomato plants are concerned. I should verify that myself, though. Thank you, Spike, for your opinion. Garden stuff can be so expensive. Sure, over the years it's usually worth it, but I have a hard time getting past the initial expenditure sometimes! |

Burpee - Pack of 2 fence 7' by 40" - $39.95
Gurney's - Pack of 2 fence 8' by 32" - $39.99 Personally I would wait for the 2fer sale and be able to afford more of the fence and connect them to the height I wanted. I R also cheap! |

Snap, those dimensions make me wonder...I don't think the Burpee ones will fit an Earthbox. I think people have used those on EarthTainers, but I got them confused.
So, thank you both. I probably would have had to return them, and using a gift card, I would have probably gotten only store credit. That would have been bad! So I signed up for gurney's emails. Crisis averted! |

Thank you, PhilaGardener. I did order one, along with a bottle of fungicide to meet the minimum. It came today, of course, when my husband was home. I prefer to have gardening purchases appear like magic in the yard, as if they had always been there, as opposed to on the porch, when they look like purchases!
