Pollen ?'s
What is the average time that one might expect to see pollen form on a C. Chinese pepper flower?? Immediately upon the flower opening, few days, week, more??
Is there a need to manually pollinate these peppers?? They are growing in a tropical environment. If one part of the flower is missing, (pistol/stamen), will a fruit still form? Regards; bluelytes |

Peppers are self-pollinating and need no help from you.
You will see pollen the same day flower opens. Take a magnifying glass and you will be able to see if the anthers have opened to release pollen. Peppers do need both male and female parts so it would depend on how damaged they are. |

LOVE,
TY for your kind response. The stamen(sp) was traumatically removed during an attempt (by an overly impatient chilihead) to speed up the natural pollination process. Can the flower grow fruit without this? (silly ? I know), or can the flower be hand pollinated? Regards; bluelytes |
