which critter does this?
I started some champagne and coyote seeds last week and while I was away over the weekend they popped up. Unfortunately, when I looked this afternoon the only thing that was left was the stems! The critter ate all the new leaves. What animal does this? There are a few other pots with suckers that I rooted but none of them are touched.
Those were my last champagne and coyote seeds!! argghh. What type of animal should I look for? I am thinking snail but could not find the slimy tracks they usually leave. This happened a few months ago as well so it is still hiding on the patio somewhere. |

pill bugs. they are terrible. I had them eat off an entire row of tomatoes one year in my greenhouse.

Thank you. I do have quite a few of them but they tend to leave the tomatoes alone but for some reason they always attack seedlings. I forgot this time and I guess I left it in a spot where they like to frequent - even though there's no decaying plant material in that area. Oh well.

They don't need decaying materials to draw them evidently... they eat EVERYTHING! living or dead.
