First Attempt at Growing Tomatoes
Here is a picture of my first attempt to grow my own tomatoes from seed. I think they look pretty darn good. I need to thank my sister in law Michelle (aka Shelleybean) for her patience in answering all of my novice questions. I have learned alot through this forum as well. Maybe I should have left it the way it use to be when she gave me the hardened off plants ready to plant in my garden! But then she would have all the fun!

They look perfect! Potato leafed varieties, even. You're a pro already.

Carol,
Nice first attempt!. couple of questions: 1. How do you make those silver labels? 2. Why do you have to label the pots and the seedlings again with a tags? dcarch

I made the silver labels with one of those battery run Dynamo machines. Just used a silver label insert. There are several different colors available.
The reason I have those pots labeled twice because I am giving them to specific people from work who wanted a plant or plants, as well for my daughter. That way I can keep everyone's plants straight with the type of tomato and the new owners names. The plants that I have for myself have only the stick as a label. Carol |
