Default A volunteer... and a "volunteer"

One of my dogs volunteered to help me in the garden, and pointed out a tomato seedling growing in the grass.



I guess finding an 8" high tomato plant in your lawn is a sign you're well overdue for a mowing.

Some helpful bird or squirrel probably did its business in the tree above that patch of grass and up sprang a tomato plant!

I found another bunch of seedlings nearby, in a cluster of four. Some critter must've had itself a real tomato feast a couple weeks ago.

Matt's Wild Cherry came back up as a volunteer. It didn't taste very good last year and it doesn't taste very good this year. RRRRRIIIPPPPP!
