Default is it deer hunting season yet?

Cause I got a naughty deer roaming our neighborhood eating my Giant Pumpkin vine while I sleep.

Of course it ate the ends of the vine, so I guess it won't get any longer....

Now I have to decide if I want to chop off what used to be the main and let to secondary vines take over (same Plant).

So will deer netting help?

The motion sensor water sprayer thingy, any good?

Other suggestions?

I put dog hair out around them last night, and covered the one un-touched giant pumpkin vine with a tarp, but those suckers were back and nippled on the cantaloupe vine!

Feed them corn so they'll leave your plants alone (LOL)

Uhh... I'm not familiar with GA wildlife rules... But seriously - you could check. I think it is allowed in some places.

We run 3 wires of electric fence around each vegetable garden. One garden is on a plug-in, the other runs off a marine battery. Fence isn't that high, but the deer stay out until I turn the current off in the fall. Then they jump in within 2 or 3 nights.

I have deer netting around my flower garden, and that does keep them out. There are woods all around me, so it's not a suburban area where they really need the food, just opportunistic browsing when they decided they like something. They have come right under my deck at night to snack on some of the flowers in my pots and planters -- they love the petunias.

There'd be a big hole in my deck if that happened here!

Wouldn't happen if we still had a dog. They'd ask to go out immediately if they sensed a deer around. Didn't even have the electric fences with our first dog, though there were fewer deer in the area 20 years ago. In fact, when we first moved up here in the mid-70's we were thrilled to see a deer track in the snow the first few years. There were some tough winters that had drastically reduced the population and it took a while to rebound. Now it's out of bounds.
