Heres some more of my harvest. First picture with more Latvian Hearts, Shapka Monomakha, and some Mazarini.
The second is more Mazarini and lastly Maidens Kiss which just keep-a-commin. Ami

Great going... I am assuming Shapka Monomakh is Monomakh's Hat.

Why? And what kind of hat was it?

Oh, and did you like the taste Ami?

Best, Grub.

Grub, taste was above average. Due to the weather we had this year Thats how I be rating them. Heres a previous thread where we got into the hat thing and comments from Andrey.

It should be against the law to show pictures of tomatoes this time of year.

Hey Ami,
How would you compare the taste side by side of Latvian heart and Mazarini? I have both on my grow list for next year. Did one taste exceedingly better than the other?

Worth,
I won't send you pics of the 5lbs+ of blacks I picked yesterday. LOL I'm enjoying this Indian summer....and I'm hoping I'll get more before we get a hard frost.

Ami,
Those pics look good enough to eat! Hope you're getting to enjoy more still.

Taddict, they be pretty close with mazarini edging out latvian heart. You won't be disappointed with either. I just did my last picking from both the other day as the temps are now down in the low 30's. Your in luck Worth, I didn't take any pictures. Ami

Ami - I hope you saved seeds from that LatHeart in the upper left corner. It looks like it's got that nice two bun top and flat shape that I've been working toward. Glad you had good luck with them.

ddsack, you bet I did. All, I got the seed for Latvian Heart from ddsack who got it from her parents who have been growing it since the 70's. Ami

Sherry, I started pulling my plants this weekend. We havn't had a hard frost yet but for the last two weeks the temps have been in 40's to low 50's with no growth. 1 October is normally when the season ends. Ami
