Default Arrrgh it's Back!

Snow that is. 0500 this morning the wife tells me I should have salted the driveway lastnight. I said why and promptly looked out the window. Need I say more!

Ami,
They're talking about possible flurries later today for our area. So we could be looking at pretty much the same view come Friday morning. Sighhhhhhhh...I've still got yard clean up to finish out there today. Guess I'll be freezing my tush off. LOL Hopefully it doesn't stick around long.

We're suppose to get 1"-3" tonight, more in our infamous snow belt. The lake effect snow is wild. The west side of town could be bone dry with the sun shining and the snow belt could have 3 feet or more.

Well Zana, It didn't stick around. Today it was sunny and beautiful in the upper 20's. Went out and finished taking care of the yard.
Jerry it is pretty but when your outside at 0500 in the morning shoveling snow so you and your wife can get out of the carport to go to work the beauty just fades away.
dcarch, now thats pretty!
Tom, long time no speaky. Hows married life treating you. Your right about this spring and I need to PM you about that.
Down in southern Germany they got between 1 to 3 feet of the white stuff. Ami

Ami,

I know what you’re talking about. I’ve got a 10,000 foot driveway that is uphill both ways!!!

Well, not really. But it is about 600 feet long and I’ve plowed it at 5am many times. Not fun!!!

For your information, Tom has been very busy ever since he got married. He only has time to PM me frequently to ask me about various household domestic chore questions, such as:
  • Do you put bleach in the beginning or in the middle of a wash cycle?
  • When you vacuum a floor, how do you keep it quiet so not to wake up your wife?
  • Do you wash pantyhose with regular detergent?
  • Do you have any organic remedy for menstrual symptoms?
  • Etc. etc. etc.
Unfortunately I can tell him only the fine points of how not to spill your beer when you get too excited watching football.

Please help him if you can.

Ami,
It is snowing as I type this. Woke up to a dusting from overnight and about -2C temps. It is about 0/-1C right now and definitely blowing hard....so the windchill factor will kick in. Mother nature definitely has a warped sense of humour....pout pout. Sounds like you're doing better than down south in Bayern, etc. I've still got more yard clean up to do, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow, when the wind will have hopefully calmed down.
Jerry,
I second that that not a driveway that's a runway/landing strip! Can you imagine hand shovelling a path out that distance? Now that would be more than a workout and a recipe for a heart attack.

dcarch, thats very understabable. Greeks don't have time for such things!
1. Vacuum cleaner, that's what a hose is for!

2. Pantyhose, that's for hanging out your onions to dry!

3. Wash clothes, just run down to the beach and jump in!

Very understandable indeed. Tom, they just never been to Greece. Ami
