tobacco mosaic virus in Tomatoes
Has anyone information on the current prevelence and/or economic impact ot tobacco mosaic virus on tomatoes? Reportedly, New Mexico State University said that this is no longer a problem and has not seen case in years while TMV is listed as the number 2 tomato virus in N.C. (Number 1 being Tomato Spotted Wilt virus). I would appreciate some recent information with reliable references.
Thanks, Dick

I don't have any links or documents, but Carolyn has posted, on more than one occasion, that the switch to TMV resistant varieties of tobacco and a conscious effort to eradicate the problem worked. So TMV is a non-issue as far as tomatoes are concerned. Of course there's still TSWV, Curly Top, etc.
