Article about the EarthTainer in Today's Oakland Tribune
Well, the lead headline reads: "Container Envy"
Subhead: Popular EarthBox self-contained garden has new competition. Nothing could be further from the truth! If they read the EarthTainer.org mission statement, I have NO intention of offering a product competitive with the good folks over at the EarthBox Company. I just want to offer a "Design Concept" for folks to evaluate, and self-determine if the design fits their needs. Along the way, it would be a good thing if users of the design then contributed to the Feed The Children Organization. That's it! But I guess a simple message like that does not sell newspapers today! My friend Michael S. Malone (author of "The Big Score", a groundbreaking expose on the birth of Silicon Valley) and I collaborated on writing press releases while I was at (an unnamed) Semiconductor Company several years ago, and the thing he taught me was that it is "perception" not "reality" that sells newspapers. How true...... Anyway, here's the link to the "Envy" article: http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/ci_9719406 Ray http://earthtainer.org/Home_Page.html |
