Yes, he had almost as much Native Sun as PSR-37. And a couple of others, too.

The were sent to him, packed and labeled by Tim. Silver just scooped out some of whatever was wanted and sent them on...

The ones I got from him were labeled correctly. I also had pretty good germination on them. I'm not growing either this year...

It pays to be very careful and methodical when repackaging smaller bits from larger lots. Any seed that falls on the table, or looks as if it fell on the table when packaging variety "A" shouldn't be assumed to be variety "A" but should be considered completely alien.

I think I remember Silver saying he had about a pound of PSR-37 but that's certainly not even close to what he sent me to distribute, thank heavens.

And as I said earlier in this thread he was supposed to send me Native Sun and a couple others of Tim's but that never happened, despite Green Zone serving as an intermediary to contact Silver. And GZ followed up and asked if I'd heard from Silver, but negative.

I'm glad to hear that. It's sad to invest time in a plant and not get tasty fruit.

I can't see too much from the photo, but my Native Sun look more yellow and less golden than yours, if I'm seeing the color correctly. Was it a rather compact, bushy plant?

If I recall there's one called Fireworks that is a compact, bushy plant with the same basic yellow/gold/splash of red color scheme...

(Tomatobase shows Fireworks mostly orange...and no splash of red on Native Sun)

No it wasn't compact and bushy at all. I assume Native Sun is op? It was in between yellow and golden.

Native Sun is OP. I rec'd seed from akgardengirl originally and have since grown it several times from my own saved seeds. My plants have always been compact, bushy, and productive. Sounds to me like you might not have had Native Sun, which I think was suggested earlier in this thread.

Thx for the info. Whatever it was, it was good.

I planted 6 seeds on March 16,2011.
I had one germinate .
It was sickly and died.
I had problems with some other seeds germinating.
But most of the varieties I planted did germinate and grow well.

My sole PSR-37 plant is rather wimpy-looking and has produced little. I've picked two ripe fruit which I found to be firm in texture with tough skin and a bit of an off taste.
