Peppadew growers

I thought this might work, I got a hot Perradew jar, in a store. And put my fruits in the jar after cutting and getting the seed out and cook them in water for 5 min. Nice, i did not want any jars of this, new fruits are red ever day.
I did put make more water also.

I received Peppadew seeds in Heather's seed swap last year. The plants are beautiful and the peppers are delicious. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is a true pepper? I would like to share Peppadew seeds in this year's swap, but am hesitant to do so because I am not sure if they could cross with other peppers nearby? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, Sandy

Filmnet,

Just got back from the garden....picked almost all of the Peppadews off the plants. Just took a few shots of the peppers, but in a basket. Going to try to get a shot of a plant before I lose the light. Thanks. Will try to resize and upload when I get back. Thanks......Sandy

Peppadew plants & peppers...

I hope these pictures will do them justice. Sadly, most of the peppers were picked and are in the basket in front. I was unable to find any flowers and guess that our cooler evenings have stopped them from flowering.

Do these cross readily with other peppers, or do you think that it would be safe to send them for the seed swap?

Nice the plant look nice, the fruits are small like the one in the jar so get from stores. My are bigger and mine are green, then almost black, then red? Yours look green to red?

Do you know about this company? No one sells these seeds, and you and me are the 2 growing these?

There are other growers and quite a few pictures on this site. Go to the top of the page and find the search button. You can enter Peppadew and all of the entries that contain Peppadew will pop up. I found the recipe there that I will use to process the 'dews that I picked yesterday.

The ones I grew did change from green to orange to red. They only had a small amount of Tomato Tone fertilizer when I planted them, so am sure they would be larger and greener if I had side dressed them when they began to bear fruit. Happy gardening!
