dcarch, it says USA because that is where I bought it from. When I bought the house I wanted a mailbox I could mount on a pole and the replicas the germans sell of what I have now just don't get it in quality. So I ordered this one with the cedar wood cover from the states. You would be suprised how many germans have these american replicas. Mine, its the real deal.
And when the german postman/woman delivers mail they even raise the red flag telling me theres mail!
