Picked the first tomato of the season!
So what did you think, maybe I moved to Australia?
I have about 40 tomato plants in the greenhouse. When I went out to stoke up the fire in the wood heater late yesterday, I saw something red peeking out from under one of the tomato vines. She's a beauty, about 12 ounces, very bright red and ripe. Her mother was Brandywine and her daddy was a rascal whose only redeeming trait is high disease tolerance. You should see how eagerly I searched the other vines but only found a handful of ripe cherry tomatoes for my effort. Take that Raybo!!!!! DarJones Whats that? YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME? WELL!!!! |

Yeah, but you live in Alabama! Nice photo. Have you seen my thread on my 2010 greenhouse dwarves? Been picking a lot of fruit.

I like the girlie-man design on the plate.
Did I just say that? Hmm, what does that make, me? Nice looking December tomato, Dar. |
