Default What about Stump of the World?

Stump Of The World -I received these in a trade. Do any of you grow them and would you think they would make a good drying tomato? The person I got them from said they were very meaty and not a lot of seeds. I read several descriptions on several sites but nowhere did it mention drying...You know me... who cares what it tastes like fresh! () You know, there was a catsup manufacturer back in the late 1800's called "Stump Of The World"...

I just eat them out of hand or on sandwich/burger. Too tasty to resist. I am not a dryer.

Stump of the World would make about the same quality drying tomato as Brandywine Sudduth, Earl's Faux, or Marianna's Peace.

Borgo Cellano is a drying tomato. Stump of the World is a large pink slicer. Grow it if you like large pink slicers.

I grew it for the first time last year and it did pretty good for me.Don't know about drying but this mater has good flavor.

I've grown Stump of the World a few years back and after not growing it for a couple years I grew it again last year. It's a great tasting tomato but not one I would consider for drying.
It seems to be rather susceptible to early blight/septoria in my gardens. Much more so than other tasty slicers. That was the reason I had quit growing it before. This year was a reminder. Not planned for this coming years gardens. Wishing you good luck with those you decide to grow.
