Default onion sets and seed potatoes for fall planting

all the seed companies i have dealt with are out of stock for onion sets and seed potatoes.

Does anyone have suggestions for where i might check?

No, I don't. It is a definite need. Someone should start a business catering to just this area. Fall gardening is something that would catch on if it were easier. We need more seeds and sets, plants, potatoes, everything. I know it would be easy for someone in the southern hemisphere to do it but the shipping and phyto certs would put them out of business, price-wise. If you do find a source, Please post it here, many will be in your debt.

I've had better luck with onions starting them from seeds plus there are more varieties to chose from. You might want to try that option.

I agree with Jerry 100%. Onions from seed are the only way to go. You get much bigger onions too from seed.

Yes I agree, there needs to be more companies that offer a second offering later in the year for those of us who grow at different times of the year.

I bet Tom could provide some diploid potatoes around september. If he can't I'll have some available then. I have many varieties from Tom that have little to no dormancy.
