saving seeds from Ber fruit
Can I save seeds from the fruit of fruit that has Ber.
I have a plant called Illinois Beauty, so far I have picked 8 fruit all have Ber. It is a new one for me and I would like to try some next year if I can save some seeds. Has anyone grown this variety is it worth trying to save seeds |

But if there's any indication of what's called Internal BER where the inside of the fruit is black while there's no indication of any exterior BER then I would not save seeds from such fruits.

I saved seeds from a fruit with fairly moderate BER last year. The seeds were blackened and pretty nasty looking but germinated just fine this year. Normally I would have passed but it was one of my crosses.

Thanks for the reply Carolyn, I didn't think I should save the seeds but I needed another opinion
Thanks Scott, maybe I'll do as Carolyn suggested and save a few from the top of the fruit for next years experement |
