Solar Flare coming in Yellow
I have five Solar Flare plants. So far two are yellow and one is orange/red. Two plants are lagging behind and I dont know what they will be yet.
Anyone else getting yellow's? |

These look more like a variety from Wild Boar Farms called Spot Yellow.

I'm thinking there may have been some seed mixups, I have two other new Wild Boar varieties that appear to not be what I was expecting, but do look like others they offer.
My one ripe Solar Flare does look right though, and I think the green ones on the other plant also look to be true. Maybe I was just lucky with that one. |

Picture doesnt show it well but it does have striping. Flavor, well I only had one and it was pretty good, but I do like yellows in general.

Granite, your's look similar to "AAA Sweet Solano" (from Brad), when slightly unripe. It has a nice sweet flavor. Not sure what my mystery yellow is...

Hmmm, the other Solar Flare plant of mine that hadn't ripened anything yet does appear to be yellow with stripes.

You are going to have to stop getting that camera so close as I could swear that I could just about taste those tomatoes....

Hey Jan,
How are you doing? This Solar Flare variety simply smacks you upside the head with a 2-by-4 in terms of tart flavor. Really a memorable tomato to taste. Raybo |
